A Detailed Look at The adidas D Rose 6 in Black/ Red

These images make the upcoming D Rose 6 look a little chunky, but tech wise I think these might be performance beasts.

We received full length Boost in the adidas D Rose 5, but the forefoot was encapsulated, and Boost needs to be able to expand. This year adidas looks to fix that issue with their updated StableFrame and exposed Boost forefoot. Materials on every pair will likely differ. These look like a synthetic leather – hopefully it’s soft and nothing like that shiny red synthetic from the launch pair of the Rose 5’s. Traction longevity is the only thing that jumps out at me as a potential issue, especially after I burned through the CrazyLight Boost 2015’s traction pretty quickly. Other than that, I think these will surprise people.

  1. For a synthetic upper it looks soft, excited to hear how the boost in theses performs compared to the rose 5’s! They do have a clunky look to them but I like the overall silhouette though, and if the strap provides the ankle and heel lockdown it looks like it does i am all in.

  2. dude, these look massive, like lebron line massive, why is one of the most explosive athletes in the game getting tank-like shoes (i know he’s injury prone and needs protection, but…)

  3. (i’ve played in every rose shoe to date, though besides the 1 and the 4, none of them have really been ‘go-to’ shoes, these ones look like they might just be for kicking it in….)

  4. 150 pricing wouldn’t be bad taking into account the tech used. Yes they look a little bulky, but probably a very protective shoe. The 2.0 remin reminiscent look of the tounge is pretty cool. Gathering from earlier images we have diamond shaped breathable mesh, with sprint skin, which looks to be soft and likely will add support to the mesh, which would make me believe its a very soft mesh. Rose line 4 5 have been traction tanks. We worried the fours would be inside only, the 5s wouldn’t work, something tells me this shoes comfort and tech is meant to be worn all over. I almost expect a durable grade a traction from the rose signature. Compared to the KD if wer talking 100 under retail it’s a steal boost is amazing. This much boost excites me. If the traction works indoor and out this is the hoop shoe of the year. Indoor only, it’s still going to be in the running.

  5. Great looking shoe. Traction looks great especially for those of us not playing on pristine NBA courts. 773 4’s landing tomorrow. Hopefully BOUNCE is good. Will pick up ROSE 6 when they come out. adidas needs to price this shoe at $100 dollars to take the basketball shoe game by storm and to get players in the shoes. ALL In? I wear adidas, but most don’t, not even the guys working at Foot Locker.

  6. I wish these would’ve been in a ShockWeb, rather than SprintSkin, the overall shoe looks great though, mean.

  7. I hope that the fit here is not sloppy. The shoe looks like BEAST man.I will pick between the Soldier 9 and these. I’ll be waiting for the performance review
