WearTesters Trash Talk #1 | 2015 BHM Collection, Draymond Green Throws Food at Seahawks Fans

Everyone enjoyed the WearTesters Year in Review quite a bit, and asked that we keep something like that going… so here it is. We are currently calling the segment WearTesters Trash Talk… because we had to call it something… but we are still open to suggestions, and will have a voting poll on the best names once we go through them all. Until then, sit back and we hope you enjoy.

Thanks for watching!

  1. Can you guys put up pop windows of pics of the shoes your talking about at the time your talking please. Would help a lot.

  2. The first thing you need to address is the irony of one Kobe Bryant, having a Black History Month shoe.

I am sure that Jim Brown is at odds with the notion of such a creation.

  3. Weartesters: Getting Right Into It

Agree with the suggestion to have picture overlays of the shoes you’re talking about to better illustrate what they look like. As far as feeling weird wearing Black History Month shoes while being white….. Not sure. I just ordered the Kobe’s and they will be my first BHM shoes. I bought them because I loved how they looked. Not because of what they draw inspiration from, additional storytelling, or any other aspect. I simply liked the shoe. I may have felt weird if they had tribal print or Martin Luther King Jr.’s face plastered all over them. Or if they had things like “Black Power”, “I have a dream”, “Say it loud. I’m black and I’m proud”, or “The darker the berry the sweeter the juice.” written on them. So yeah. I think the new name of the show should be….

Weartesters: The Darker The Berry The Sweeter The Juice

  4. Nice discussion and video. I’d say Wildin’ with Weartesters (abbreviated WwW or W’wW) or Wildin’ Out with Weartesters (abbreviated WoW, maybe Li-Ning’s got that locked-down, WOwW or W’OwW).

As for BHM, and as a black man, I don’t mind anyone of any race/ethnicity/heritage wearing BHM shoes at all. I’d actually love it to be honest. Here’s why: I view BHM as a celebration/commemoration of black history, never forgetting the incredibly bad and celebrating the wonderfully good. I hope everyone has a chance to learn about black history to some degree in school or from someone; mainly because, from the bad, it speaks to darker aspects of human nature that we should never ever return to. Of course, today there will be those, including myself to an extent, that can’t exactly relate, and I view that as a good thing. That’s NOT an excuse to be insensitive or ignorant, but it speaks more to thankfully how the world (especially the U.S.) has changed and still MUST continue to change positively. In conclusion, anyone wearing BHM shoes, to me, hopefully at the very least acknowledges and/or learns a little more about black history, good and bad, that’s all that would really matter to me. We’re all one. Sorry for the lengthy ramble.

    Later, Diiick! Lol.

  5. or maybe: Wear testers talk trash instead of trash-talk?
    No offence – Just joking.
As for european I find this BHM-problem pretty strange. I mean, the solution is propably simple, as Morgan Freeman said: If You don’t want racism, stop talking race. He said something like: I’m Morgan Freeman, not Black Morgan Freeman. We are just human beeings…
    BUT
history is very very important. We must know the past to avoid bad things in future – and I write this as a guy, whos granny still carries pieces of bread in her pocket. Since WWII. (yeah, she’s old)
    Oh wait..this is a fun-site about sneakers.
    peace!

And I’d love to see those aforementioned pop-up windows with pictures of shoes beeing talk about.

  6. Love this video set up. Can’t wait for more. Jason Williams from Dupont West Virginia though lol sickest pass I’ve seen
