The list features some of the most popular players in the league along with their earnings and I was actually surprised at some of their rankings as I thought some were making more than others. One player in particular was a huge surprise to even be seen on the list… if you know who I’m talking about then be sure to leave your thought in the comment section.

  1. First off, I didn’t even know Amare was getting paid like that let alone on the list. Second, D Rose gets 14 million from Adidas? I can see Kobe and Lebron but Amare Stoudmare? Go figure! Thanks for list NW!

  2. I’m very surprised that durants deal brings in less..I would think that more parents would purchase durant over bron and Kobe due to price point.

  3. Durant’s shoe sales are shockingly low. Surprised about that. Nike really need to stop jacking up the price of his shoes and actually come up with a better shoe. I wouldn’t go anywhere near the VIs. I don’t like them from a looks and performance standpoint. Waste of money to both the consumer and Nike.

Amare being on the list isn’t that surprising to me. He was an absolute beast on offense before he had knee and other injury troubles.

Carmelo’s shoe sales are also much higher than I expected. Jordan brand should probably be paying him more if he is pulling in those kind of numbers.

  4. Durant should be selling more shoes. His recent scoring spree should be raising his profile and pushing sales.

I still think they need to drop the price point or get more technology in his shoes if they are going to keep the price up…

  5. If Durant gets an MVP and/or c’hip this year, it will definitely raise his profile to move more shoes. He does seem to be about a half step behind Kobe and Lebron when it comes to tech of his shoe and a full step behind in design, depending on the year. Not saying his shoes are trash, but they don’t seem to give you anything you can’t get from Kobe or Lebron’s shoes. I think they should have more direction with him and either make him the lower price point guy (since his original credo was he wanted everyone to be able to afford his kicks) or he needs to get more in tune with the designers and his game. Lebron and Kobe have shoes tailored for their style of play (Lebron XI exception) and their body types. KD has been kind of all over the place. One year it’s high top, next it’s a low top, then low with a strap, etc. There needs to be a something solid and functional, like a calling card. Then as the years go on to build on top of that and adjust according to KD’s needs. Easier said than done though, just my $.02.

    1. I agree it seems as if for durant shoes it’s just fun designs…for lebron from the 1-6 it seemed more like style than performance…Kobe’s have always had a good balance..I think durant shoes need to be more updated.. The kd vi is what the Kobe v was four years ago..also when u can get the similar feel with the zoom crusader for a 110 compared to 130 for durants kicks

  6. Amare must have signed that deal a LONG time ago. I’m shocked Wade isn’t making more. But I guess the earning potential is seriously hindered by the fact you cant buy his shoes at Finishline, Footlocker, Dicks Sporting Goods, or any of the other major retailers. I think Durant’s sales will go up significantly with the release of the Elites and his success this season. Unless they are crazy overpriced (hopefully no more than $150).

A couple guys I’m surprised to see not on the list:
Blake Griffin (I thought Jordan gave him Chris Paul type money)
Stephen Curry (I thought UA backed up a dump truck full of money to lure him away from Nike.)
Dwight Howard (I thought before all the bad PR he signed a huge deal.)
Rajon Rondo (I know Anta is a small company but I thought he would be up there.)

    1. Elites will most liekely be more than $150, like how the KD V elites were $180 and the elites were technically worse than the original Kd Vs so no hopes from me

      1. Damn. You’re right. Hopefully they wont sell great like last years model (still available from time to time) and go on sale.

  7. Amare and Wall are getting paid too much.
    Kobes- New technology
Lebrons_ Best of the Best technology
    KD- Fun shoes

And we question why kds dont sell much. Also, Russel deserves his own shoe, xx8 ses dont count because their not a really a new shoe.

  8. Thought Griffin had a similar endorsement deal as Westbrook when both were signed to Jordan Brand.
Didn’t know LeBron’s line generated that much revenue but makes since due to high pricing point and improve performance to go along with the aesthetics.

What would be interesting is how much DRose, Chris Paul, Melo, KD, Kobe and LeBron earn from endorsed apparel sales as well.
