I have a feeling adidas may release my favorite performance model of 2014 with the D Rose 5… that features Boost foam.
They’ve modified the SprintFrame completely and even personalized it for Rose’s upcoming model with his logo featured prominently versus the famous 3 Stripes. Boost runs full length and it looks as if they will be bringing back premium synthetics as well. GeoFit will be in the collar which is something we’ve been seeing a lot of and I enjoy it greatly so no complaints here.
This is just a teaser of whats to come but now is the time to get excited as we will have something great to look forward to.

There’s apparently some foam going up from the midsole to the upper (Not sure, I haven’t got my glasses on!!!). I was almost going to scream ‘foamposite’ as welll!!!!

If it’s made of independent cells, does it mold to the shape of your foot like Lunarlon would?

question is, if they did that to lunarlon (a thousand pebbles fused into one).. will it last like boost??
I dont think it would. The Boost pebbles has TPU in it which for some reason makes it pretty resilient. I’m just happy that there are other brands really putting in the effort to create something that works other than the big brands.

Wish I waited, but I did get the fours, have been supporting Rose since 2.5, but man I just don’t know now. I do want to try boost, because NW has talked about it so effin’ much. Don’t mind me I’m just heartbroken knowing my team won’t even hit the playoffs an are about to be blown up.

Finally…a D Rose show with some cushion…and it only took five reg models and countless .5 models and what ever else to figure out he needs some cushioning for his knees and ankles….
Their implementation of EVA is actually proven to absorb quite a bit of impact. Boost, however, is better at impact protection as well as responsiveness/ spring. So responsive cushion will be finally used, cushion has always been there.

Finish Line has a ton of insoles on their site. They are pretty specific as far as what they offer so its easy to find one that will suit your needs.

hi Nightwing i know this is getting annoying and its off task for this thread but i commented on old threads and i dont think u will respond to it so do you think I should get a pair of hyperdunk 2013s and a pair of kobe 8s, or 2 pairs of kobe 8s, or just one pair of kobe 8s because im afraid if i wear the kobe 8s on cement/asphalt sometimes it will wear down the outsole thats why i might get two and my dad has a friend that works at nike so he can get half off so i can get 2 for the price of one thanks.

If you are playing outside, DONT GET THE KOBES, plain and simple, the outsole is as thin as a quarter. That thing will get ground up in 30 minutes and you’ll just end up walking out of the court with a mesh upper and no outsole. Get the hyper dunks, theyll las longer. they’re basically high top kobes performance wise.
No the swoosh discount is only 40 % off. But tell your dad, Cade, to ask his friend for his employee store code so you can get your own login for the swoosh website. That is the reason nike doesnt give its employees the products at cost because the employees can just give their friends and family their code employee code. I know this because one of my best friends has a friend who used to work for nike (he plays in the euro League) and when he did my friend had his own swoosh login different than that of his friend’s, the actual employee.
Ok but he said the friend has another friend that works at nike and he goes to a actual store that is half off and its exclusive or something and its in oregon which is where the nike hq is so idk if thats different but he just tells his friend what to buy and he pays the friend and then the friend sells him the stuff but will the kobes really burn down THAT fast?
Steves right, Kobe 8s are not made for outdoor ball, the outsole is too thin. I’d recommend getting the Kobe Venomenon 4 or Jordan Prime Fly since they have outdoor specific traction. The Hyperdunk should last outdoors too.

I really hope these don’t disappoint. In theory, these will be amazing! And if they can also implement the CrazyQuick outsole? Maaaaaaan… as far as a performer, it could be king unless the Jordan XX9 outdoes the XX8.

Hi Nightwing, do you know if the Sprintframe won’t come up in the sides of the shoe? Because the Sprintframe makes me Adidas shoes unwearable

They will probably be like the Rose 4 & 4.5’s SprintFrame which shaved the sides down so they arent uncomfortable at all.
I’m very happy to hear that , so probably I’ll buy these next season because Adidas will finally have a shoe with amazing cushioning. I think that they will make a big impact and these shoes will be Top 3 of the year for sure.

These actually look like they ride low compared to the heel height that are on the boost runners. And from what i hear boost cushioning doesnt feel very mushy so the higher midsole will feel lower.

These are going to be nice…but they’re also going to be lebron-expensive…runners are expensive by themselves currently…but the tech looks promising
Can I just say that if Adidas markets this right, they will grab some huge market share. They need to make it along the same lines as a HyperDunk. Meaning, a great shoe that almost any position can use. A lot of players in the league use HyperQuickness or HyperDunks and Adidas can grab those players by just being a better performer. Also make sure they make their presence known in the college ranks like Under Armour is doing and they can make some waves.
This will be a huge step for Adidas as a company and I’m excited to try amazing shoes from different companies. The Anatomix is still the surprise of 2013. This might give the Kobe 9 a run for the money. Literally as these are most likely going to up the price point unlike the 4’s which went down in price.

i mean the could make targeted like zoom: front + heel boost
or like lunarlon: ordinary foam at outside + boost inside/top
or like kobe8: drop in boost midsole
when i try the runner (full length boost)…its bit too mushy on the edge
Theres really no need for making targeted foam shoes. Under Armour as been able to use full length micro g in all there basketball shoes where they make the midsole with micro g or use a different foam carrier like the micro g spine. I hope they put an outrigger similar to the Crazyquicks on the Rose 5 so they can be stable laterally.
Hey nightwing, do you think that with the addition of Boost in the model it would make the shoe expensive? Im looking to cop these if they do come with boost. I love the rose line not only because they perform very well on court but also because their prices are really affordable, in my opinion.

Finally, Adidas taking a big step. If they can get Mi Adidas to rival Nike ID with the Boost coming. I’m sure Damien Lillard will be getting signature shoes- he had a RoY shoe it was a Crazy 8 Throw back. Damien or Derrick they’re both great guards with great futures. I wouldn’t be surprised if they make a similar shoe with Lillard cosmetics, definitely think they would sell just fine. Wish they had done this with the 4.5, I’m stoked about the shoe- fell in love with the 2.5, then the 3.0 patent leather, solid shoe, the 4’s geofit and even improved Puremotion was elite. Now just waiting to for these bad boys, I think this information being out is going to have a lot of sneaker heads holding off on 4.5’s n waiting on the Chicago’s Finest- researched it further seems Derrick is really involved in the 5 since that’ll be the next shoe he’ll be wearing. Bless Adidas, Rose’s Health n he and Damien’s future- hopefully Damien gets a similar shoe with a logo of his own.

It is about time. If adidas wants basketball players to convert to adidas. The formula for success will be to put all premium basketball shoes at $100, with socks included. Nobody wants to pay more than that for adidas. For some it’s illogical. Not for me though.
