Despite how they look, they can play…
The cushion, right off the bat, is much more comfortable without all of the break-in time required by the KD V. They make the Elite KD V feel like bricks too.
The midsole’s foam is what makes the biggest difference and while they labeled it as Phylon, it feels more like Cushlon… it’s just a much softer ride in comparison but not soft to the point where you feel as if you sink into the shoe.
Traction is really this shoes only downfall and I say this so soon with such confidence because they felt like I was playing in a low top KD V (the ‘after they’ve been broken-in KD V’). The court I was playing on was pretty clean and it’s always well maintained but for some reason, even the slightest bit of dust attracts to the KD VI. As long as you wipe periodically then you’ll be fine but the longer you wait the more you’ll slip. When the floor is clean on the other hand… watch out… they bite the floor hard.
So far, I really like the shoe. The more I think about it the more I realize how much I’m enjoying them. These are a keeper…

There isn’t a reason for an app at this point. It would cost me more money than its worth.

KD is my favorite player by far, and i’ve got the rest of the KDs, so i know i’m going to pick up a pair sooner or later, but there’ve been lots of people on the net complaining about the sub-optimal traction and the hotspots on the top of the toes…just not anywhere near as excited to play in these as i was the KD Vs (which i just wore tonight)…
