It’s no surprise that Paul George is getting his own signature sneaker, but today he finally teased the upcoming shoe on his Instagram account.
The Nike PG1 is poised to be a budget friendly on-court option that will likely replace the Kyrie’s current spot as the low tech, low budget signature option. Materials will include textiles and mesh along with forefoot Zoom Air, all wrapped up in a one-piece low top bootie construction. It’ll also be equipped with a forefoot strap.
This is the first official image we’ve seen of the shoe, although there have been images floating around the web — seen here — of what the shoe looks like in sample/prototype form. The only real difference between the sample and retail pair seen below is the logo at the tongue — it’s been changed from PG’s original PE logo.
Let us know what you think about the first tease of the upcoming Nike PG1 and stay tuned for the official unveil soon.
