Damian Lillard Debuts the adidas D Lillard 2

Damian Lillard broke out his brand new signature model – the adidas D Lillard 2.

I think these look awesome. Traction, while we can’t see it in this set of images, looks solid (for indoor use) and the cushion setup is going to be adidas’ Bounce foam. The upper looks to have panels of PrimeKnit – a great touch – and you can even  see the lacing system at the midfoot that cradles the foot and secures it onto the shoes footbed. Heel lockdown was a major drawback on the D Lillard 1, and adidas looks to have fixed the issue with the 2.

Overall, the kicks look sick and they look like they’ll be a solid on-court option. Price and release date are currently unknown, but we’re hoping the shoes retail price doesn’t see a jump. At least, not a huge one.

      1. IKR unlike most of the shoes now haha “leaked” photos which were not really leaked but released by the company itself in order to build hype on the upcoming shoes

  1. Looks to be a sample pair?
Anyway, which they kept the tech fit bootie as I was a fan but prime knit is a nice touch.

Speaking of adidas, hope they keep John wall on their team.

  2. Why no Boost, adidas? Primeknit ‘panels’, but no Boost? On Rose 6 no Primeknit, but pleanty of Boost … WTF?

I want your best techs in one almost perfect shoe!

    1. The Rose 6 All-Star will supposedly be PrimeKnit. I agree that they shouldn’t skimp on the Lillard, and Wall though(a fore-foot Boost unit like on the Boost-Volley Reponse should be price-neutral feature for the Lillard, and little Boost-cubes in the Wall-PureMotion should make an interesting concept-shoe)

  3. aesthetically they look the best among the signature lines, definitely much better looking than the DRose 6, they will look fresh off the court !

  4. Both of his sigs remind me of the Jordan 3’s and 4’s. Think he has the sharpest looking shoes going right now.

    1. Wiggins also have areally good line. the CL Boost line. kinda embarrassing for Nike considering how atrocious their signature shoes are.

  5. I thought the predecessor looked better, but these are clean in their own right. Wonder how the Bounce will perform.

On another note, what happened with that pair with Boost? Looked like the pair featured here with CL2015 tooling.

    1. Bounse is by Li-Ning, it’s like adiPRENE.

Adidas Bounce-foam is like a slightly fluffier EVA, and it’s shaped to roll forward, so the cut/shaping is thicker in the heel(allowing for more impact protection), and very low 2 the ground in the forefoot(to give you good court-feel) which creates a ‘rocker’ effect to keep your movement forward, and active.

  6. I like Lillard’s taste when it comes to the designs of his shoes. They look really clean. Im willing to pay a little extra for boost cushion on this pair.

Is it true these will feature Continental branded outsole?
