Get Up Close and Personal with the Nike PG1 ‘The Bait’ Colorway

You can now get up close and personal with the upcoming Nike PG1 in ‘The Bait’ colorway prior to its release.

This is my favorite colorway of the Nike PG1 that we’ve seen so far. I love the solid rubber outsole and using a different color of rubber to highlight the shoe’s cushion tech is something Nike should consider doing much more often as the translucent rubber it likes to use to showcase the tech can be faulty when playing on dusty courts. The dark navy upper is accented nicely with subtle hits of color on the pull tabs and strap, and Nike was even able to squeeze in paint splatter on the midsole without making it look overdone.

The Nike PG1 ‘The Bait’ is scheduled to release on March 4 for $110. All of us here at WearTesters are excited to grab a pair upon release and see how it fairs during testing. Anytime a brand new signature model comes out we can’t help but get geeked about it.

Share your thoughts on the upcoming Nike PG1 in this colorway below and stay tuned for any updates as they arise.

  1. Love everything about the shoe except the flywire cables. To me they’re just asking to break and could easily have been more like the Soldier X where the length of the strap goes over the midsole. Other than that I can’t wait to hoop in these!

  2. Aesthetically…these are very appealing to me…performance wise, i think they would actually be fun to play in…as i tried a forefoot only set-up recently for the first time in years (SF5) and i must say i wasn’t too mad at it…felt pretty quick in comparison to what i usually play in (KD9, boost models) (mushy stuff lol)

  3. Personally I think the use of flywire with the strap is a very good thing. Seeing how amazing the lockdown on the Lebron Soldier 9’s was, I think these will have some crazy containment (in the forefoot at least).

  4. Very excited for these. I play in the KD 9 and I feel like it slows me down even though people say I look faster while playing in them

  5. First nikes in a long time I like: these have a silhouette very close to runners (especially the toebox)

Really good look for a first sig for PG
