This is a reminder that, in the event you forgot to buy a holiday gift for your significant other, sneakers are always a viable option.
Featuring a predominantly black leather upper, this Air Max 97 does away with flashy and vibrant color schemes frequently seen in today’s sneakers. Instead, it relies on a minimalistic approach and opts for a white midsole to compliment the dark upper.
A small patch of patent leather is featured on the lateral side of the sneaker to add some sheen to the restrained look. There are also some segments of the outsole that come in white, to offset the black segments.
Tech-wise, the Air Max 97 uses a large, visible, full-length Air Unit, so comfort is usually guaranteed. However, this sneaker is best suited for non-performance uses.
The Nike Air Max 97 ‘Metallic Leather Black’ is set to drop on December 14 for $160 in women’s sizing. You can find them on the Nike App, nike.com, and select nike retailers on release day.
