Under Armour ClutchFit Drive 2 Is Available For Pre-Order

Despite lacking in the ClutchFit department, the ClutchFit Drive 2 look like they’re going to be a great addition to anyones on-court rotation.

The traction looks beast, cushion should be interesting since this looks to be an entire Charged midsole, and the support looks solid as well. I just noticed this with this set of images, but the tongue looks really comfortable. I know that’s a small feature, but sometimes the tongue is overlooked as it can cause great comfort or the exact opposite.

  1. These remind me of the UA Torch 3. As the Torch 3 has some clutchfit skin on them. The Clutchfit 2 look like they’ll be performance beast.

  2. I just hope they use deeper herringbone. It looks like that from the images but you never know until you see them in person.

    1. I know what you mean. I returned both cfd and sc1 due to the traction being horrendous on less than perfect courts. The grooves weren’t spaced enough, they weren’t deep enough, and they had a flat peak to them which really made them unusable at the courts I play on.

  3. yo nightwing, i think they’re actually available at foot locker in like six colour ways! i just found them

  4. I don’t see how the ClutchFit will do much of anything with all of that fuse type plastic in place. The Prodigy looks to implement more ClutchFit than these. Might just wait for the Curry2 instead.

    1. This is petty and everything is up to individual interpretation, but to me, the Jordan line has similarities in the 1-2, 3-5, 6-8. I’m not sure how the six didn’t start a new “era” that extended through the 8. The 9-10 had similarities and then the 11 stood in its own with the foam posite trying to replicate it on the Nike side. Just my thoughts and to me, the CF2D is maybe more similar to the 6-8.

  5. i don’t usually comment on how a shoe looks, because i don’t really care as long as they play well, but these look horrible, and i’m curious to know why the majority of under armour’s colorways are so funky looking…
