A shoe’s aesthetics can usually be saved with color blocking. However, there are some shoes that just cannot be saved. That’s where the Jordan Ultra.Fly 2 comes into play.
This shoe almost looked better in all-white. These two team-based colorways are definitely not helping the shoe in the looks category. Of course, this doesn’t mean they’ll perform terribly. They’ll just look funny while on-court.
Full tech specs are still up in the air as the only thing we know for sure is that they’ll feature forefoot Zoom Air. The type of Zoom is up for debate, but if I were a betting man then I’d say it’d be the smallest and most useless Zoom Air unit Jordan Brand could find. The materials are fuse and textile — nothing we haven’t seen before. Hopefully they fit better than the Air Jordan 15, the model this shoe draws inspiration from, as those were a bit lackluster in the fit department.

they’re brutal obviously. these are a real head scratcher. why waste the time, materials and resources to produce something that has no chance of selling even at clearance prices?

I was in the camp that thought “hey lets wait for new colorways and specs before judging”
and now I’m like “oh my god”. The way the lower half of the upper scoops up just makes me think of the Curry Uggo 3. Then with that tongue I kinda want to go poop out my mouth.
BUT in all fairness, maybe an all-black colorway has some hope.
These shoes re-confirm that jordan brand need a complete over haul and restructuring! I am a complete optimist and dont hate most shoes theyve produced but that doesnt mean they are coming close to meeting expectations both aesthetically and performance wise of a legendary brand that Jordan is.
I hope that this was an early plan that ended up going no where or they were leaked to gauge interest. These are hideous and I don’t want to hear anything about it being all about performance. Those statements are better suited for color ways.
For a shoe to get away with being this ugly, it has to be an all-time performer otherwise why not get one that both looks better and performs well. These things aren’t free. They still cost money so make it worth it. I’m not buying a butt ugly shoe to go play pickup ball sometimes in it. If I’d feel embarrassed wearing it to the store then I’m not getting it plain and simple but that’s just me.
The absence of traditional tongue and the lacing system are very interesting. Aesthetically the shoe is another letdown by JB.
A terrible look, I get the idea though, this is a late-90s/early-00s colorway very loud, just to be loud.
I’m guessing not even Test Shoot can save these guys.
Nike out here releasing trash month by month the only thing I liked this year was the KD 9. adidas killing the year with full-length boost and I can’t wait for what’s more to come from them.
