There Is an Air Jordan XXXI Low Coming

If you’re a fan of low top basketball shoes and the Air Jordan XXXI then you’ll be pleased to know that a low top version is likely coming.

This pair comes from Jordan Brand athlete Thomas Davis’ IG account and features a tonal red upper. Tech specs look to be the same as the mid version of the shoe; a Flyweave upper that transitions to a synthetic leather heel and full-length Zoom Air coupled with the Flight Speed plate. While there is no official word that the low top version of the XXXI will release, we saw glimpses of and Air Jordan XX9 Low on the feet of MJ himself nearly six months prior to the official release — so a release date on a low top XXXI is probable.

Let us know what you think about the potential of an Air Jordan XXXI Low coming and if you’d be interested in rocking a pair on-court.

  1. I really like the design of the shoe including the mid but I don’t want to pay all that for a shoe with very mediocre traction from all accounts that I’ve come across. They would be limited to casual shoes in that case.

  2. A low really? A shoe that is already inherently unstable because of the protruding zoom and a shoe in which traction is suspect? Good luck balling in those peeps.

  3. I can understand the stability concerns (and imo the real solution is to re-tool the outsole to feature edge lips like the Melo 13), but the upside is this cuts the cheap-looking collar down.

  4. id be very excited to have a low version of the xxxi only if there would be a colorway with solid rubber implemented on the outsole. the rest of the shoe is on point, just the traction is lackluster

  5. I like it. Although the shoe lacks certain features performance wise, I think the low top xxxi would be pretty cool
