Le coq sportif has experienced a phenomenal resurgence in the last six months. Now, they’ve teamed up with the Swedish powerhouse and collaboration machine, Sneakersnstuff (SNS).
Drawing inspiration for this latest collab from the classic Swedish film Dunderklumpen, the first Swedish animated movie, the shoe reflects the main character’s colorful garb. I’ve included a photo of Dunderklumpen below. His yellow hat is represented in the bright yellow underlays at the forefoot while his blue overalls are reflected on the entire forfoot and toebox, as well as the perforated underlays around the heel. Dunderklumpen’s undershirt is the source of all the gorgeous teal leather on this le coq sportif runner, accented nicely by purple tabs on the tongue and purple insoles. A white midsole and grey outsole adds some neutrality to the vibrant shoe. At the heels, le coq sportif and sneakersnstuff branding are embossed in very similar fonts. Le coq sportif has made great strides in ultra high quality goods as of late and of course, SNS always gives us premium materials.
The SNS x le coq sportif Flash ‘Dunderklumpen’ will release on April 11, 2015 at all Sneakersnstuff stores, including their online shop. Price is set at $109 USD with SNS’s awesome $10 shipping to the States. Sizes US 4 through US 13 will be available.
