It’s taken 20 years, but the Swedish sneaker empire that is Sneakersnstuff has finally arrived back in New York City.
The New York shop, located at 22 Little West 12th Street in the Meatpacking District, is SNS’s first U.S. store. According to Sneakersnstuff, the 3,5000 square foot concept shop and bar will offer multiple areas for artists, brands, the entire SNS brand range, and exclusive collaborations.
The new location also includes a massive outdoor mural wall and a full bar/club area downstairs that will be run by some of Sweden’s most notable restaurateurs. The bar will open in early 2018 and be used to host events and parties. According to Sneakersnstuff, industry veteran Wil Whitney will run the store.
The new shop used to be an old garage so SNS crushed a Volvo (a Swedish make) filled with sneakers from founders Erik and Peter’s collections. The store also draws design elements from famous New York buildings like the Flatiron building, Chrysler building, Freedom Tower, and New York Life Building.
Sneakersnstuff New York City opens its doors on Wednesday, December 20, at 11 AM EST. You can follow the new store @sneakersnstuff_nyc. For the opening, the shop will be hosting a series of raffles for limited and sought-after sneakers (you can learn about that by clicking here).
