The Reebok Hydrorush is a Trainer From the Watt Family

Reebok Hydrorush

Reebok is training, there’s no doubt about that, and its latest silhouette, the Hydrorush, keeps the Watt family training.

When you have one of the craziest-training professional athletes on your roster, and a great human being as well, it makes sense to develop equipment fit for his style. Enter J.J. Watt.

With last year’s success of the JJ I Trainer, and the JJ II moving (performance review coming soon), Reebok has branched the family tree and given us a new shoe: the Hydrorush.

Using input from all three brothers — J.J., Derek, and T.J. — Reebok has made a shoe with all-surface traction, lateral stability for cuts, and dual-density LiquidFoam in the heel for impact protection.

Just from the appearance, the Hydrorush appears to solve the one issue I had with the JJ I and II — running. The upper and midsole look more forgiving and made for transitions and speed, where the Watt Trainers looked like turf trainers and weightroom killers (which they are).

The Reebok Hydrorush is available today at reebok.com for $80 USD. If it is anything like the JJ I and II, it should be a serious performance shoe for a good price.

There is a performance review coming soon, so stay tuned to WearTesters for the full details. Until then, enjoy the Watt brothers training in the video below, wearing the Hydrorush.
