Puma Unveils ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ RS-0 Collaboration with Sega

Last month, we reported that Puma was reviving the RS-0 for a special project with Sega. Today, the brands unveiled the Sega Sonic RS-0 in Germany.

The Sonic x Puma RS-0 was first seen in a teaser Youtube video as a pixelated graphic. Now that the shoe has been unveiled, it’s easy to see all of the nods to Sonic the Hedgehog.

With co-branding on the tongues of both shoes, the Sega Sonic RS-0 sports many references to the classic ’90s game. With the use of a blue hairy suede for an upper, the shoe features game references like the pixels in green and yellow along the midsole, an homage to the tracks the hedgehog used to run, and embroidered gold rings that can be seen along the sides of the heels.

The Puma x Sega Sonic RS-0 is said to release in June of 2018, according to the teaser video. No price has been announced.

Stay tuned to WearTesters.com for more information regarding a specific date and retail price.

  1. excited to see these in lighting that isn’t s#%t. I think the brights colors are gonna be what makes these bad boys. The dim lighting here doesn’t do em justice.
