Why is 6 scared of 7? Because 7 ate 9… get it?
Man, if there was ever a time where I felt my first impression was so off it made me feel stupid… this would be one of those times.
The traction on the Nike Zoom Soldier VII is great. More than that… its better than the Soldier VI’s from what I’ve been experiencing and the Soldier VI offered great traction. Even though the pattern looks weird as hell… it works that’s all we can really ask for.
In case you are wondering, yes, this traction is better than the KD VI’s that were recently tested.
The fit is fine and I’d recommend going true to size but they will require a bit of break-in time. Even after wearing these a few times I still feel that these are pretty stiff along the outsole and the heels collar is leaving much to be desired in terms of lockdown… that is where the Soldier VI definitely didn’t suffer due to the style of strap that was in place.

NW im want to try out Zoom Air because im used to foam cushion from Adidas i want to try something new Which shoe has the best Zoom Air experience (that is not the AJxx8 its to expensive) im thinking of Lebron X or KD V based on your reviews
I’d go with the Melo M8 first. The Zoom in those was amazing. LeBron X is 360 Zoom so its on a while other level compared to regular Zoom Air. Air Jordan XII is another good one as well.
Did you mean Melo M9 Nightwing?
The M8 has Air Max in the heel and Zoom in the forefoot. I think the original poster wanted a shoe that has Zoom Air in the heel and forefoot.
i have the m8 and ive been playin basektball in those for 6 months now.the zoom that is inside is very responsive and the foam that they use is cushlon so that adds to the comfort and responsiveness. Its freakin comfortable.

The VII’s traction pattern will hold up longer than VI? The traction pattern looks like quite shallow.

What’s up man, I was wondering if you can actually feel the zoom air unit on these. I have the Soldier VI’s and I don’t feel much at all. I like the responsive bouncy feeling it gives and haven’t felt in a while in the LeBron signature line. Same goes for the LeBron 9 Elite, can you feel the zoom unit on those? Thanks a lot for your time and help dude.
