Performance Teaser: Nike Zoom Soldier VI (6) Pt. 2

Even though I have small little wounds on my ankles from the pathetic stitching found along the tongue… the Nike Zoom Soldier VI has officially become my personal favorite on-court model of 2012… for the time being.

I’ve been over this numerous times before but it’s still worth noting… Fuse is durable. If you are in need of a shoe that can take a heavy beating then you will want to consider a model that incorporates Fuse along the upper. You will still have a shoe that shows signs of wear but it’ll be a shoe that is still in one piece.

No shank plate… no problem. I haven’t noticed an issue at all. The overall fit is so secure that the shoe feels like a part of your foot. Everything moves and flexes naturally which keeps you feeling safe and sound while on-court.

If you like cushion, lockdown, durability, ventilation & amazing traction then you will want to grab these. Best bang for your buck by far.

Just for your own piece of mind. When I say ‘best bang for your buck’, I’m not just going to choose the cheapest retail priced sneaker… that’s not what ‘best bang for your buck’ means. It means that the total spent offers you an ample amount of everything you need… these actually exceed that making them the best bang for your buck. Sure, you could compare the adiZero Rose 2.5 to these and say those offer you the best bang for your buck because they are cheaper but if you actually compare what you are receiving then the extra $20 spent on these makes more sense… for $20 more you get heel and forefoot Zoom Air, better traction, better lockdown and a more accommodating fit… that’s bang for your buck.

  1. Is this one’s tongue exactly the same or at least similar in construction and shape to the Lebron 9s? I didn’t have any problems with the LBJ9 tongue whatsoever. Would I have a problem with these?

  2. Nightwing, what will be your top 5 performance shoes (personal choice) for the first half of the year?

  3. i would like to have these but they just have so much, too many, large, lebron branding. well it is a lebron team shoe. just an aesthetic preference of mine for a shoe to have minimal branding of the player.

do these feel like the lebron 7 p.s.?

  4. This is what I wanted to hear. I am getting anxious now, but I will show some patience. I really wish shoe makers released a black shoe along with the other colorways upfront like the Hyperfuse 2012 which released the black pair first. If you have a shoe that is supposed to be played in, it would make sense to offer a black colorway too. I hate playing in white shoes.

    1. And I know there is a black and red colorway out now but I mean a mostly black or black and silver. Something that really won’t show too much wear and tear.

  5. Nice! looks to be a promising shoe…I’m kind of skeptical though about the part that it has no mid foot shank plate support…anyway…do you have plans on reviewing the jordan superfly? Thanks!

  6. Which would be a better all round shoe for a shooting guard? the Zoom Soldier 6 or the Adi Power Howard 2?

  7. Which one has better cushioning the melo m8 or these in terms of comfort and impact protection.
