Performance Teaser: K1X Anti-Gravity Pt. 2

They work well indoors but if you hoop outdoors… give these a try.

In the last Teaser I said that I hadn’t gotten to the best part…

The best part is that these things are built like tanks. They can take a heavy beating and come out practically unscathed. There are a couple of minor scuffs here and there but nothing crazy. These were built to hoop in outdoors and they sure as hell did a good job.

The traction has been really interesting. On the worst courts, they couldn’t keep up… not many shoes have actually – Air Penny V and Air Jordan XX8 have been the only two that have allowed me to play slip-free so far on that court. On the other hand, every other court has been awesome and that’s saying something due to the pattern itself. If you play on gravel or rough outdoor surfaces then these will not only hold up but they’ll do their job too.

I really like these. They’re comfortable, fit well and perform well. A lot of people keep harping on their looks but to be perfectly honest, this is what shoes are lacking today… an actual design. Look at the panels and overlays… this is how shoes used to be made. Now all you have are one piece plastic uppers that all look the same… just my thoughts on the subject but to each their own.

    1. They will release in the US soon and they are already available at select overseas retailers. If you contact the brand via instagram or twitter Im sure they will respond with updates info.

  1. Have you considered taking the Ventalation score out of the final score of the sneaker? It seems to make Great shoes scores low and could raise a sub par shoes score

    1. No, it grades things fairly no matter what the score is as all shoes are subject to the same grading scale. Sometimes ventilation – or lack of – can negatively effect a shoe’s materials while other times it does not. Ventilation is an attribute that some people consider when looking at a shoe – if you do not need ventilation then all you have to do is simply not consider the ventilation category. All performance reviews that have an accurate grade system utilize the most important attributes to athletes and our score cards are no different.
