Performance Teaser: Jordan CP3.VI (6) Pt. 2

The CP3.VI makes the CP3.V look like a child’s play thing…

Podulon is featured once again but it’s not like what I experienced last time.

The CP3.V’s Podulon sections had noticeably different densities than the rest of the midsole. That’s not the case here… it feels as if the entire midsole is Cushlon instead of targeted sections. That isn’t a bad thing since you receive consistent cushion and impact absorption throughout the shoe.

The only area that suffers is the heel… just like the last model. If you recall, the CP3.V had a raised pod and these are recessed. With the raised pod it would compress upon heel strikes – absorbing impact. While these do the same – the compression part – the foam can’t quite handle the impact with a chunk of rubber missing so your heel sinks down a bit until you feel as if you are almost on the floor. Again, I wouldn’t say it’s bad –forces you to stay on your toes – but I would have preferred to have had the rubber outsole continue as it typically would in almost any other shoe since the foam is softer than your average Phylon or EVA.

The CP3.VI is a near perfect shoe for quick and speedy Guards. Just a few small tweaks here and there and they would easily be in my personal top 5… They still might be… haven’t quite decided yet… there are too many damn shoes released in a 12 month span.

  1. When are you getting the rose 3s or do you already have them? Nice job so far bro keep up the fantastic work and keep the videos coming.

  2. okay I’m confused… podulon, cushlon, phylon, lunarlon, next is phyton lol but anyway, Nightwing what cushion does the Lebron 9 low have? I’m pretty sure it’s cushlon, unless I’m wrong…. I’m asking because it’s so comfy just using it for walking and wondering what’s is the difference with podulon. Thanks!

  3. Nice!!! Much anticipation for the review. Unfortunately I have to stop visiting your site…i’m either gonna be broke or drop out of school from playing too much ball…or most likely both LOL. I think I will have to pick these up just for the traction alone. Still haven’t picked up the 2k4 huaraches yet though either! hahaha. Keep it up man lol.

  4. Could you please compare these cushioning (especially impact absorption issue)?
    a. Cushlon in Nike Cradle Rock 2011
    b. Air Zoom in Air Jordan Q-flight 2011 (I’m using these sneakers.)
    c. Podulon in Air Jordan CP3(6)

I’m interested in the Cradle Rocks because they’re cheapest and they have XDR version. There will be XDR version for CP3(6)?

Thank you very much for very nice review.

  5. Maybe they can put an LA gear catapult system in the heal HA! They will be close to the top, there a shoe with purpose.
