When I was younger I used to rely on Eastbay’s product descriptions to teach me about a shoe’s tech and now that they are anything but reliable… Long-7 is the best and safest route as they take the shoes apart to literally show you what is inside.
Yes, seeing shoes being dismantled is hard to watch at times but at the end of the day this is all about learning about the things we buy and put on our feet. It is important and believe it or not… it even helps me out sometimes when I cannot see or feel the tech. The Nike Zoom Hyperflight is one where I was unsure of the tech as I assumed full length Zoom was used when in fact its just a large volume heel Zoom unit.

I had the original version and they had a full-legth zoom air unit, even though they weren’t very comfortable.
$150 for heel zoom only. Nostalgia and looks aren’t enough for me to hand over that kind of cash.

The lack of forefoot zoom and on top of that, the heel zoom seems to be dampened by the surrounding cushion which may render it unresponsive.
Very disappointed.

wait, people are nostalgic about these? i never owned a pair, but i watched friends play through immense pain just so they could look cool…plus they creased up like crazy after one pickup game…zero durability+ terrible cushioning, what’s there to be nostalgic about?
