With all the sneaker fanatics in Japan it’s interesting that only next week will the Nike SNKRS app finally become available in the Land of the Rising Sun.
According to Nike, the SNKRS app will debut in Japan on March 20; it will offer NikePlus members increased access to coveted sneakers and content personalized to the local sneaker culture.
“Japan has a special place in sneaker culture, and launching the SNKRS app there will both fuel and serve that,” said Ron Faris, Nike’s GM of SNKRS, in a statement. “We’ve pioneered some unique digital experiences within the app that evolve the sneaker game and we’re excited to bring those to the community in Japan.”
According to Nikee, additional features will include SNKRS Stash, a geo-located treasure hunt, and randomized draws to purchase limited sneaker releases like the upcoming Air VaporMax 97, Air Max 1/97 Wotherspoon, and the Air Max 270.
Currently, the SNKRS app is available in 21 countries in 15 languages.
