The Nike React Hyperdunk 2017 Flyknit Debuts Tonight on the Feet of…

So Nike bought Converse for the brand’s React juice?

Today, Nike announced that Warriors star Draymond Green will be debuting the Nike React Hyperdunk 2017 Flyknit for Game 1 of the 2017 NBA Finals. While we now know the upcoming sneaker’s official name, the brand did not announce a price or release date. Fortunately, we’ve got those for you here.

We still know very little about Nike’s new React cushioning technology, but according to Draymond Green, it has some bounce.

“To be the first to wear the latest Hyperdunk means the world to me, we’re talking about Nike Basketball here, the biggest athletes in the world and being the first one to actually try this new technology is amazing. Mom, I made it. When you’re talking about Nike, you’re talking things that last for decades,” said Green in a statement. “This shoe is lightweight, it has a resilience in it. It has the bounce so it keeps me sprinting and moving around just like I want to.”

Keep a lookout for these tonight in Game 1. Who do you have coming out on top tonight?

  1. “When you’re talking about Nike, you’re talking things that last for decades,”…well, I’m not so sure about that, lol. I like a lot the looks on these, the embroided little swoosh reminds me of mid to late 90’s- early 2000’s shoes, when the branding was minimal and was more about the tech. Hope the React lasts longer than the lunarlon.

    1. I took that as Green referring not to the durability of the products, but to the way so many Nike models have become classics that either become regular staples that are constantly on shelves or that get retroed years or even decades later.

  2. Looks nice imo. Excited for the react cushioning!! Hope it won’t be 200 effin dollars like last year’s!!

  3. These actually look better than last years Flyknit Hyperdunk. I wonder how this React cushioning works.

  4. Why is there no window for us to see the React Juice? I don’t trust Nike’s cushioning anymore when it’s not visible.

I always wanted to play in the Run N Slam. When the retros came out years ago, I don’t think React was even in it anymore. It was just a hard piece of yellow plastic. Same for Larry Johnson’s retros.

  5. I used to play in a few converse react shoes back in school. I honestly couldn’t feel the cushion, but sometimes it squeaked haha.

  6. The rumor about the React cushioning was that it was going to replace lunarlon and be almost like Adidas Bounce or even (gasp) Boost level bounce.

    Again, that was the rumor.

  7. Is this react cushion only for the flyknit model? If it is I’ll just pick up the 16 hyperdunks for cheap this summer.
