The Nike Kyrie S1HYBRID May See a Release

Kyrie Irving may be releasing a hybrid signature sneaker, the Kyrie S1HYBRID.

Reception of the Nike Kyrie S1HYBRID seems to be fairly positive after Irving debuted the shoe on-court during warm ups at the start of the NBA season. If this were a Jordan Brand shoe, well, you know how that’d go.

From a performance perspective, Nike appears to have taken the best pieces from each of Irving’s signature models and blended them with functionality in mind. The tooling from the Kyrie 1 should give the shoe some much needed comfort that the Kyrie 2 and 3 tooling lacked. Here, the forefoot of the Kyrie 3 replaces the stiff plastic upper of the Kyrie 2 and combines it with the 2’s strap and rear collar — beastly.

While there is no official word on whether or not this shoe will release, this official product image makes us believe we’ll eventually see them hit retail or the SNKRS app. This could also be an exclusive launched tied to the new NBA jerseys as the Nike Connect uniforms will offer access to exclusive drops and PEs.

Let us know what you think of Irving’s Nike Kyrie S1HYBRID below and stay tuned for updates on its potential release.

    1. That makes sense, so it’ll receive a small zoom bag somewhere near the the strap on the shoe.

It makes no sense that Kyrie game and retail shoes had different cushion setups.

  1. Lol they must have been like, “ya know the worst traction pattern out of the 3, let’s totally use that one.”
