The Nike KD9 “Birds of Paradise” Set to Release

The KD9 has been on top of our performance charts for almost a month now. It’s no surprise that Swoosh is releasing more and more styles. However, in case you forgot, you can check the performance reviews here from NYJumpman23 or Nightwing2303. If you weren’t fond of the previous color releases, you’re in luck because the “Birds of Paradise” is just around the corner.

The Nike KD9 features a true Flyknit along the forefoot while fused at the midfoot to attach the rest of the foam and mesh wrap around the heel. Also visible is the ever-so-comfortable articulated Zoom Air cushioning that runs full-length. The honeycomb traction pattern keeps you locked to the ground with none-to-minimal slippage. This truly is a wonderful ball shoe for the masses.

The Black/Clear Jade colorway releases on August 19 for $150 on Nike SNKRS and all available Nike retailers. In the meantime, will you be copping a pair? How do you like this colorway? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

  1. I feel bad for this KD iteration. the cushion was amazing and was really responsive and the fit was really nice. although my biggest problem with this shoe is that it is really tough for my foot to put them on. Nike could have done a better job just the same if they have just retained or put on a strap like it did before to secure your foot or some strategically placed laces and material to secure it rather than build a painstaking fit for a shoe. point is, it would have been a great shoe, but it ended pretty sad.
