Native Shoes, the relatively new Vancouver-based known for its Beast-Free shoes — kicks made without any animal products or skins — is entering the knit sneaker market in 2017 with the ‘Storm Pack’.
The ‘Storm Pack’ will feature three colorways of the limited edition Liteknit Mercury that Native is pre-releasing this fall. The official global release will happen sometime in spring/summer of 2017. Air Blue, Dublin Grey, and Jiffy Black (don’t ask because I don’t know) echo blue skies, grey clouds, and black storms.
The Liteknit Mercury offer flexibility and comfort while staying true to Native’s mantra of #keepitlite. Each upper is a single 3D knit already shaped into a whole piece, like most knit shoes, that is then sewn to an EVA midsole and outsole. The silhouette is knit with three different shades of fabric for an interesting aesthetic of hues and textures.
Native has been gaining traction in recent years and these knit sneakers could catapult the brand into a completely new category. Thoughts on the Native Liteknit Mercury? Sound off below.
These look alright. They kinda reminds of Kobes.
I’m interesting in seeing if the knit Native uses is any good!
Soles will suck
