Li-Ning Wade

Li-Ning-Wade- 4

At this point, it’s no surprise that Dwyane Wade has left Jordan Brand for the Chinese performance brand – Li-Ning – even though it still hasn’t been ‘officially’ announced.

We’ve seen glimpses of Wade’s latest signature while in practice but here is your first real look at Wade’s 3rd attempt at a signature line with a brand. While they are simple, performance will be readily available as Li-Ning is one of the better overseas brands around.

Take a look at the signature and share your thoughts down below in the comment section.

    1. Lol I was just thinking the same thing…really remind me of the Lebron II’s…

Still, the lack of an outrigger means no go for me, no matter how well they perform…

  1. It realy doesn’t look good to me , looking from design side. Maybe the shoe would look better with another colorway.. Besides Jump Man is much more dope than something with a form of X..

  2. I actually like the simple look. I hope they perform well. I still rotate the Fly Wade 2 into the lineup whenever possible.

  3. That stupid “W” in the lacing system looks like it will be very useless and unnecessary. Laces always go left to right, why would you go to a north/south direction… It’s not gonna lock down anything.

  4. I thought they would look better but in this colorway for me is not working. They look like some skate shoes that grade school kids wear. Maybe they will look okay with heat colorway

  5. Are we all sure he signed with Li-Ning and not Peak? That triangle is too misleading lol jk
Anyways, traction scares me. Could have added more traction pattern.
Fit… Mid foot looks fine, maybe they intentionally effed up the forefoot laces to accommodate Wade’s foot problems that were plaguing him during the 2011-12 season. Just a guess, who knows.
That midfoot shank doesn’t look like real carbon fiber at all… Looks more like a woven material encased in a softer plastic.
Looks like an entry level shoe, but who knows, I absolutely hated the Fly Wade 2, then I saw them in person. It became my favorite hoops shoe.
Man, I gotta stop hating on Li-Ning. I need to stop being butthurt about him leaving JB. I’m really hoping they start selling Li-Ning in Dicks’s or Footlocker or something.
Anyways… based on pics alone, style and performance-wise, they remind me of the AJ3 without the air unit.

  6. They remind me of 2 brands meshed with 1 shoe: Peak due to the triangle on the outer side/ materials, Bounce due to the shoe countour/shape. They were meshed into making a signature sure out of a “Jordan Big Fund” model. IMO

  7. Performance wise, brands like Li-ning and Peak have shown they can implement materials and technology into the product just as well as the big brands, so the performance for Wade’s new line will probably be excellent. But when it comes to just the looks, and I don’t think I’m alone here…Li-nings are just kinda ugly, I mean every one of their models that I have seen is not even average looking. Sure people have different tastes and preferences, but there is actually such a thing as a beautiful object and an ugly object. This one is not beautiful, not by a long shot. At least Wade is making more money off this than he got from Jordan brand, hopefully.

    1. I couldn’t agree more. of all the 3rd party shoe brands that I have seen, probably the Anta brand has the best looks. I’m not sure about the performance though since I haven’t tried one yet. hopefully Nightwing might consider making a review of that brand.

  8. I really want to like some of these Chinese brands but these designs are just so god awfully ugly. Come on guys, I want to be able to wear these shoes.

  9. Please do a review of the AND ONE “DUNCAN” or any of the other basketball shoes available currently at wal -mart. I just think it”s hilarious that they are just as good , if not better than any Jordan , nike , or addidas I” ve ownd and only for around thirty bucks! I know you will like them! trust me.

  10. does it come with the cushion/bounce set-up like the turningpoint? look good to me except for the traction…

  11. Traction has DW. Looks like the whole outsole is just FLAT (I can just imagine slipping on dusty courts). I can’t see any real ventilation plus it looks REALLY HEAVY.

  12. This seriously looks like a casual shoe, not for playing in
my guess is that wade really wanted a shoe that could be worn on and off the court
it looks like it has some inspirations from retro jordans and skate shoes
if thats what he wanted, then they got the style right

    big questions will be
how long does that tiny herringbone last?
    how soft/responsive is the cushioning?
how well is your foot locked down?

  13. ?1. Why did he leave JB – Was it the $? when at Converse he stopped wearing his latest models and just kept playing in the first model when he was supposed to be rockin the 4th model its like he wasnt happy with thos kicks at all. He looked happy runnin in the J’s but… These Li-ning Sig’s aint that bad, better than Baron Davis DOOM’s when they were boosting his shoe. These kix remind me of Adidas TS Creator (one of the 2), the first shoe Derrick rose wore when he entered the League or the (i think the model they had with the School colors and logo’s on them). Well thank god he didnt bedcome a Reebok player, poor Wall. Wade should have move across campus and played with NIKE.

  14. The look like a cross between the LeBron II and the original K1X joints. To be honest it is the 2nd best looking DWade sig since his first Converse sig. Honestly his 1st two sigs with Converse was better than anything he had his name attached to at Brand Jordan.

  15. just drop byhere again coz i was really curious about wade’e new sig…i don’t know but it really starts to grow on me…i’m sure they have a good cushion, either they have developed a new tech or they will just install the CushioN&BounSe set-up, the only thing that really scares me is the traction, makes me think twice in buying and playin’ hoops with ’em…but, imagine this in heat colorways man..especially the all-star, play-offs and finals edition…

  16. i dont think this is actually his shoe. this is probably something alond the soldier lines of lebron. i think his actual performance shoe will come out later
