The Jordan Supreme Elevation features the most Zoom Air ever placed into a Jordan branded shoe — and they’ll come in ‘Infrared’.
We just took a detailed look at this upcoming Jordan Team model, but I was unhappy with the way they fit so I went ahead and grabbed another pair in a smaller size. This time around, they fit a whole lot better so I’m hoping they work out for me on-court as I’m excited to try the setup out.
In addition to the detailed look and review on the ‘Infrared’ Jordan Supreme Elevation, Mrs. Wing brought up something I found interesting and decided to go on a rant. Actually, I didn’t really decide to… I simply couldn’t help myself. When you ask a shoe nerd a question that has been on his mind for far too long, this is what happens.
If you wound up watching the entire thing, feel free to leave your thoughts on the subject below in the comment section. It’s always great hearing everyone’s perspective on topics such as these. And you never know, discussions such as this could end up changing things for the better for all of us consumers.
Thanks for watching, reading and commenting. Until the next one!
Looking forward to official reviews. Sounds a lot like the 32s but with more zoom, which is pretty intriguing. Any word if there might be a low version?
I totally appreciate the mini-rant that you went on. As a marathon runner, I have zero issues finding a shoe to accommodate my wide flat foot. Finding a basketball shoe that works for me has been super difficult, as I often have to size up by a half to a whole size to find something that event kind of fits, but like you said, the cushioning, arch support, etc is usually a little bit off. This is one of the main reasons why I stopped hooping out of fear of getting injured from a poor fitting shoes. Fingers crossed that someone somewhere heard your rant!
Thanks for your rant and I fully agree. As a runner as well, everything I run in is 2E width. My colourways are always a bit limited (they make more colours for standard width and a select few in wide) but I can always find a shoe.
Over the years I’ve ordered and sent back lots of hoop shoes for width because I can’t try on everything where I live. That being said, not being a super wide footer, I can always find a model or two that work.
New Balance always has a great selection for wide footers in their running lines, and I believe Mrs. Wing would attest to that. So my hope is that the Kawhi line will offer at least one colourway in a 2E for those of us that need it.
