As you may already know, a unique colorway of the Curry 4 is releasing this Saturday. Now, we’ve got the official story and more information regarding the Stateside release.
After Curry debuted the Curry 4 on June 1 during Game 1 of the NBA Finals, he went on to average over 26 points and 8 assists per game during the Finals, according to Under Armour.
Now, after eight seasons in the league, UA says Curry’s ball handling skills have become more magical. The ease with which he stumps defenders and creates space to fire off his shots is incredible — many have called Curry one of the most thrilling players to watch.
According to Under Armour, the colorful upper is inspired by The Bund, a waterfront area in central Shanghai that faces several unique skyscrapers of Lujiazui, and the neon lights of the modern city that reflect off of the Huangpu River. The sneaker sits atop an icy blue outsole with bright SC branding on the midsole.
The Curry 4 ‘More Magic’ will be available primarily in China (at first Under Armour had said that this would be a China-exclusive). It will drop in very limited numbers at Shoe Palace in Oakland (4900 Telegraph Ave, Oakland, Calif.) and at Foot Locker (Sunvalley Mall, Concord, Calif.), as well as UA Brand Houses in Boston and Chicago. Retail is set at $130.
