Get an Official Look at the Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier 11 ‘Prototype’

The Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier 11 has been officially unveiled and the first colorway to launch will be the ‘Prototype’.

Say what you want, but to me, the aesthetics of the Soldier 11 are pretty nice. It definitely isn’t something I’d wear casually, but the shoe looks solid from a performance perspective. Keep in mind I said the same thing about the Soldier 10 and those were a dud on-court. Perhaps, the Soldier 11 has taken what worked in the 10 and reengineered what didn’t.

Nike’s Zoom LeBron Soldier 11 features a breathable mesh and foam upper along with a four-strap closure system. The collar area look more forgiving than the collar of the 10 so hopefully it won’t be chaffing any legs. An old school touch of nubuck is used along the main rand, and the overall look reminds me of a beefed up Zoom Soldier 3. Yeah, I’ve been doing this for a while.

Zoom Air units are featured at the heel and forefoot. You should be able to feel the Zoom this time around if the Phylon midsole is soft enough.

This black ‘Prototype’ colorway will be available globally starting May 31 on Nike+, SNKRS, nike.com, and at select retailers for $140.

  1. I’m really hoping the traction is good, as well as the ankle support. The soldier 10’s traction was great but when on a bad court, suffered a bit more then I’d like but the support (which I need due to a bad left ankle) was good for me (but a little better support would be liked.)
