Jordan Brand’s ‘Best Hand in the Game’ collection honors Michael Jordan’s greatest achievements and introduces four new builds of the classic Air Jordan 1.
Several weeks ago, Jordan Brand unveiled the ‘Best Hand in the Game’ collection to select media members at its Summer 2018 showcase but it was kept under wraps until now. These new Air Jordan 1 builds utilize suede, leather, and the traditional Air Jordan 1 ‘Black Toe’ color blocking to represent different milestones in Michael Jordan’s career.
The Air Jordan 1 ‘Blue Moon’ celebrates MJ’s 14 years of All-Star appearances during which he collected three MVP awards. This shoe features a straight flush on the right insole, a nod to Jordan’s love of poker.
The Air Jordan 1 ‘Yellow Ochre’ honors Michael Jordan’s five Most Valuable Player awards. A royal flush is featured on the shoe’s right insole.
The Air Jordan 1 ‘Track Red’ celebrates MJ’s six championships and his winning mindset. A six-of-a-kind hand is featured on the right insole.
Finally, the Air Jordan 1 ‘Clay Green’ represents the sum of Michael Jordan’s awards and contributions to the game of basketball, according to Nike. It honors Jordan’s “‘full house” of accomplishments including Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, his Championship wins, and his Hall of Fame induction.
The Air Jordan 1 ‘Best Hand in the Game’ collection colorways will release separately in different global regions on May 5. Each shoe will retail for $160 and release in limited quantities.
