A Detailed Look at the Nike LeBron 15 ‘Ashes’

I finally have a pair of the Nike LeBron 15s in-hand and I’m excited to test them out for the performance review.

Everything you need to know about the Nike LeBron 15 and my first thoughts are within the video above. I’ve also played in a pair of the ‘Ghost’ colorway and you can check out my initial thoughts after playing in them in the video below. That run was only for about an hour versus my usual 1-2 full weeks of testing so I wouldn’t put much weight into it until I’ve had more time in them on various courts.

One thing hasn’t changed in all of this and that’s my level of excitement to play in the LeBron 15 again. The cushion is incredibly bouncy and fun to hoop in. I do prefer something a bit lower to the ground overall but that doesn’t take away from how awesome the Zoom is.

Hopefully you enjoy the video(s) and let us know how you feel about the Nike LeBron 15 is you’ve played in them already.

    1. its a possibility. but then, depending on the fabric, heel pad and construct, it might stick. the only concern though is the lace loops. they could snap.

  1. being a Jordan Brand guy, I might consider these due to the promising new experience with the cushion and the traction. also, it’s one of those rare Nike and Lebron releases that got me intrigued not just due to the tech but aesthetic standpoint. the latest Lebrons weren’t so much of an eye candy but more like demolition trucks.

I love the looks of this shoe, too bad Nike can’t come up with a better name with their marketing name for their tech specs. flyknit battle or battle knit? god awful nauseating. is the “knit-scale” word even copyrighted that Nike doesn’t want to use it?

  2. I am such a big fan of LeBron’s off court stance these days, a big fan of his activism, I really want to support him and buy a pair of his shoes. However, since he has a complete low character, alt right looking douche designing them, I just cannot pull the trigger. Nike is playing games with his line in regard to retro’s, so I guess I will simply miss out, then looking from afar.

    1. hmmm……. I don’t believe that anything Lebron does off-court would be close to being classified as activism or actively engaging or promoting a certain belief that would benefit people in that regard versus someone who is only voicing his own opinion for that matter or just riding along with what others are saying or doing. activism afaik needs time, work, money, effort and dedication into meeting a certain goal. for me, it is more likely one of his false bravado and camera-whoring or attention-seeking behavior.

anyway, despite my huge annoyance and disrespect for him as a human being and a basketball player, I buy certain shoes not because I support the player but rather I find something appealing about the shoe unless he’s the one that owns or makes the shoe itself and not being paid to promote that shoe. also, not as worse a the Ballshit guy.

      1. As a Black man, as soon as you attempt to be a success in a world bent toward white supremacy, especially while on the public stage, you are an activist, and that is whether you like it or not. Those of whom are to be admired are the ones who decide to acknowledge that fact, in which LeBron has. He could easily be one of those “I am not a role model”, types, because “republicans buy shoes too, ” but he isn’t. Bravo to him.
