A Closer Look at the Under Armour Fire Shot

Before I start, I did not buy this pair of the Under Armour Fire Shot — I wanted the black pair but this store did not have my size in stock. I will pick them up this week. Now, first thoughts…

UA brings Micro G and Compfit back in the Under Armour Fire Shot. We saw the low version of this shoe on Mudiay during All-Star weekend, but the mid version seen here just appeared in stores last week. I have the Micro G Pro with Micro G and Compfit, but that shoe is a very specialized feel. The Fire Shot feels like an “every man” shoe — flat sole, easy fit, and simple lacing. It feels like the old Juke, the first Kemba shoe, and I LOVED that shoe. The sole feels and smells like tire rubber, so even though it looks shallow it should last.

Anyway, I’m sure more colors of the Under Armour Fire Shot are coming for the Playoffs and March Madness (I want a Note Dame and Stephen F. Austin colorway). Stay tuned for the performance review.

If you’re interested, you can pick up the Under Armour Fire Shot here for $120.

  1. Looks like a cross between an And1 and a Jordan Brand sneaker. I meant that in the best possible way. Looks good and MicroG means it’ll perform well, too.

  2. I like the final-product, the likeness to the Juke should make for a great utility-type shoe, nothing fancy, just throw them on, and GO!!!

    1. I think UA is still sample-testing NanoG, but doesn’t like the durability yet, so they filled out the outsole, and used MicroG instead on the GR.

      1. Wow. I never heard of NanoG. Is that a new foam they’ve been developing? Is it really new or have they been working on it for a while?

        1. They’ve been working on it for some time now. I heard its basically like compression molded EVA that’s modified, I’m not 100 percent on that though
