#Nostalgia.
Talk about bringing it back! Way back in the 90’s, Nike and Charles Barkley had an ad campaign that featured Godzilla facing off against Sir Charles. Fast forward to 2015, and we are getting a retro colorway of the Nike Air Max2 CB 94 that honors that same ad campaign that is beautifully corny.
Using a sunset-like gradient underlay and reptile skin like overlays, hits of black and a translucent outsole round things off for this colorway. Overall, this is a nice collectors piece, but I can’t really see these being a huge hit on the feet of many.
No word on a U.S. release date, but Nov. 19 is when these hit China. Stay tuned to WearTesters.com for any upcoming information.
I personally don’t like it but, I think it’s GS only so it’s cool. I would rather they just bring back the real Barkley “Godzilla”.
