Air Jordan 8 Retro ‘Phoenix Suns’ Review

On May 18th, 2013, a brand new colorway will be placed on the Air Jordan 8 Retro.

Having a new colorway is nice and all but its the materials that I was more than happy with. Durabuck is placed along most of the upper and in case you didn’t know, durabuck is durable… hence the ‘dura’ part. Basically, its as soft as nubuck and as durable as leather… a cross breed when it comes to materials and its something that I personally love. If you plan on playing in a pair of 8’s then these would be a great option.

Take a look at the video review for additional information or just to get a good look at the shoe in general. You can grab them now at SneakerCrew.com or wait until the release next weekend – there should be plenty to go around.

  1. Besides my pair that is still in the box, my buddy already has used his on court. So we’re with you on using them for on-court use and not just on the street.

    1. This was in regards to your video on the unboxing of the Lebron X Elite ‘superhero’ colorway.

  2. Appreciate the video. The playoff 8’s were my first pair of Jordans. How do you run your site by yourself? Thanks for all your hard work.

    1. Thanks! I just do it. Its not too bad most of the time and if I need help with anything I’m lucky enough to have a lot of supporters that can help with graphics, coding and all that sort of stuff.

  3. That on-foot jumping trick is cool!!! Is the texture on this durabuck the same as the nubucks on the AJ7 Flint Greys? Which is better in your opinion?

    1. The nubuck on the Flint 7s was great and its actual nubuck. Durabuck is soft and everything but it also has a rubbery feel to it when you run your fingers across it.
