The Air Jordan 1 Flyknit ‘Bred’ Gets a Release Date

A few months ago, WearTesters staffers shared their thoughts on the Air Jordan 1 Flyknit and it was clear from the get-go that this silhouette was an instant pass. But regardless of what anyone has to say, a release date has been announced.

This iteration of the classic Air Jordan 1 ‘Bred’ does away with all conventional upper materials seen on previous Jordan retros. Instead, the upper consists of black and red Flyknit, with the Nike Swoosh done in leather.

The Flyknit upper sits on top of a white midsole with a red rubber outsole. In case people copped these for performance purposes, there are no definite answers on how the Flyknit will feel when playing but if the traction remains from previous AJ1 retros, expect great, sticky traction. (See Nightwing2303’s Air Jordan I performance review.)

The Air Jordan 1 Flyknit ‘Bred’ is scheduled to drop on September 9 for $180 and will also be available for grade school sizing for $140. The Air Jordan 1 Flyknit ‘Royal’, however, has no release date as of yet.

What do you think of the Air Jordan 1 Flyknit ‘Bred’? Do you like it? Or are you, like the WearTesters staff, not feeling it? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
