The Zoom Pegasus 35 Utility is a Winter-Ready Nike Runner

It’s that time of year when brands begin making products that can stand up to the coming rainy and/or snowy winter. After the budget-friendly Odyssey React got a water-resistant build, the Zoom Pegasus 35 Utility is next.

Equipped with weather-resistant seams and a G.90 water-repellent synthetic upper, the Zoom Pegasus 35 Utility also features a speed lacing system that should cinch the shoe closed to keep feet dry. The shoe has also been updated with Nike’s Storm Grip wet traction rubber.

The big news with the Air Zoom Pegasus 35 was the move from heel and forefoot Zoom Air units to a full-length unit. Additionally, the midsole housing that unit is made of the much bouncier Cushlon instead of the usual Phylon, and that helps because the full-length Zoom unit is only about 5.40mm thick (thinner than the 8mm thick full-length unit in Russell Westbrook’s Why Not Zer0.1).

The Zoom Pegasus 35 Utility will release on October 1 in a Black/Metallic Silver/Cool Grey/Vast Grey colorway for men at Eastbay.com for $135 and a more striking Summit White/Metallic Silver/Aurora Green build for women on October 11, according to leaker US11.
