The Zn Footwear Prototype 1 LE is Dropping in Dark Gum and Apagón This Weekend

Zn Footwear, the brainchild of Chicago native Mark Wilkins, is dropping two new styles of the Prototype 1 LE this weekend.

The new colorways, Dark Gum and Apagón (triple black), are luxurious winter-ready silhouettes. Retailing for $130 each, they flaunt two midfoot straps and ride atop Format Cushioning. You can grab full sizes 7 to 14 at znfootwear.com (the sneaker runs true to size).

While pairs of these new colorways won’t be numbered like the original Prototype 1 LE pairs, the price is down from $170 due to the solid rubber outsoles. Thus, you’re being charged for exactly what you buy, nothing more.

Zn Footwear sets prices below $200, offers truly premium materials, and gives back to those less fortunate. “The goal is to sell as many as possible so I can help as many people as possible,” Wilkins told WearTesters in September.

According to Wilkins, Zn Footwear will donate five pairs of sneakers per 25 pairs sold. Additionally, a portion of all sales will help fund inner city teen high school and post high school education.
