adidas and the NBA plan to do things a little differently for the 2014 Christmas Day games.
Everyone will be on a first name basis, with jersey uniforms featuring player’s first names on the back in box-logo fashion. The front of the jerseys feature the team’s logo with the respective player’s uniform number. Pretty interesting look… not sure if I like it, but I definitely don’t hate it.

The Knicks and Wizards jerseys look nice, but the rest just look like practice jerseys.

They look like practice jerseys… Im guessing they are testing these out as another alternative to create more space on the jerseys to put ads, since the players hate the sleeved jerseys.

Looks like they are running out of ideas, yeah the sleeve jerseys were pretty bad, but at least they thought out side the box.

The spacing is just off….all that dead space with such small text = fail

But back to our muttons. These look terrible, simply terrible. Even though I like the idea with names, everything else just doesn’t feel right.
And I will never want to see ads on basketball jerseys, that would be very, very bad.

the warriors and lakers are the best looking. the whole first name thing is truly lame. the placement and box around it- what were they going for? either be original and do something that is actually creative or leave it the way they were. what a feeble attempt
I think they are gorgeous because of their simplicity, small logos and first names.
I don’t know if that’s an “American” thing to have it complicated with loads of things, huge logos etc.
These are clean and stylish. It would be great to see them on the floor.
And sleeved jerseys was one of the best complex ideas ever. I don’t prefer them to the sleeveless jerseys but with 80+ games per season, I think it’s great to have the sleeved jerseys once in awhile. It brings NBA another reason to be a unique tournament and I, myself, as a European who follow what you call “soccer”- I can tell that these ideas look very very nice from the “outside” World.
