The What The LeBron 16 (‘1 Thru 5’) Releases Tomorrow

Originally reported as the ‘What The’ LeBron 16, the LeBron 16 ‘1 Thru 5’ will release tomorrow, September 15, for a whopping $200.

The shoes are a mismatched mix of several LeBron sneaker colorways including the LeBron 11 ‘2K14’, LeBron 16 ‘Fresh Bred’, and the classic Strive For Greatness build that hit shoes like the LeBron Soldier 11.

The heels of each shoe are totally different; the left features a gold rim with white leather while the right uses a black synthetic to show off the LeBron lion’s head branding. The outsoles are also totally different and the left flaunts the Dunkman logo.

The LeBron 16 introduces Battleknit 2.0, an update to the thick Battleknit debuted on the LeBron 15, and outriggers were added to the shoe’s full-length Max Zoom unit to add stability tot he shoe’s new lowtop height.

The LeBron 16 ‘1 Thru 5’ will release tomorrow, September 15, for $200 ($15 more than the regular LeBron 16) on Nike SNKRS (10 AM ET) and at select House of Hoops locations.

    1. That’s a really interesting take on these, and I can’t disagree too much. I hated my KD9 elites, though, because the heel lockdown just stunk for me, and the flyknit couldn’t hold my foot over bed of the shoe. Freaked me out bad.

Still, the KD9s are my favorite casual shoe, because that cushion rocks.

      1. Brian, I am up early in the morning and on these for sure because of the uniqueness of them but they seem more like a KD than a Bron.

  1. It makes my a hypebeast, but damn do I want these. Something so unique looking is pretty fun to me. All the stuff Nike did with the Kyrie 4s had me thinking about copping a pair based on the sheer awesomeness of some of the colorways, but I want more cushion. I will be on the Sneakers app praying I land a pair.
