The Way of Wade 6 ‘Dragon Boat’ honors today’s Duanwu Festival. The festival has celebrated fealty (sworn loyalty) and filial piety (respect for one’s elders) with dragon boat racing for over 2,500 years.
This WoW 6’s bright teal, orange, and black look is inspired by ancient Chinese dragons. The tongue’s feature unique graphic emblems and the midsoles are splattered with teal. The shoes ride atop transparent teal outsoles and the knit upper is secured with a strong midfoot strap.
The Way of Wade 6 features a huge Drive Foam unit in the forefoot (12.66mm thick), a small foam Cushion unit in the heel (9.85mm thick), while Li-Ning’s Cloud Foam fills the rest of the midsole. They didn’t do themselves any favors in the official press shot. Using the same teal color for the background doesn’t allow the color on the shoe to pop. Thankfully the other images do a nice job of this.
I want these. I want these BAD….. but I’ve already purchased the Team No Sleep Pack and the Rose colorways plus shoes from other brands. Money doesn’t grow on trees. Probably gonna have to pass on these.
