Jordan Brand and world-renowned magazine Vogue have teamed up to create four limited edition women’s collaborations of the Air Jordan 1 Zip AWOK and Air Jordan 3 SE AWOK.
According to Jordan Brand, when Dame Anna Wintour — editor-in-chief of Vogue since 1988 — gives her approval for an editorial or creative piece she signs it “AWOK,” or “Anna Wintour Okay.” Now, she’s put her seal of approval on the first-ever Jordan women’s collaborations.
The Vogue x Air Jordan 1 Zip AWOK will come in two colorways, University Red and Sail, and feature soft leather uppers accented by bold metallic zippers and added Swooshes. The shoes, which are based on Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan 1, will come with an “Edited by Vogue” Nike Air hangtag and will prominently showcase the “AWOK” signature on their tongues and translucent outsoles.
The next two shoes in the collaborative Vogue pack will be black and red colorways of the Air Jordan 3 SE AWOK. According to Jordan Brand, the shoes are inspired by Anna Wintour’s signature suits and sunglasses. Thus, they feature tweed uppers with Wintour’s AWOK signature emblazoned at the heel. Both shoes will come in premium boxes with two suede dust bags and the “Edited by Vogue” hangtags.
While Jordan Brand has not announced pricing information, the Air Jordan 1 Zip AWOK will be available on July 21 at Hirshleifers, Kith, Nordstrom x Nike, and North America Jumpman Doors (306 Yonge in Toronto and 32 South State in Chicago). It will also be available on July 23 via the SNKRS app in North America. The Air Jordan 3 SE AWOK will be available September 7.
