As I’ve said repeatedly, every brand that can will capitalize on the Rio Olympics. While many of these brands can’t afford to be official Olympic Games sponsors, meaning they cannot use the word “Olympic” or the five interlocking rings logo, there are other ways of rallying Olympic pride in the form of products. The UA World collection is one way of doing so.
This latest collection from Under Armour features six countries or national teams — USA, Germany, Mexico, Brazil, Canada, and China — in the form of performance apparel. According to Under Armour, the UA World collection is rooted in celebrating pride for one’s country and flaunting patriotic designs. Comprised of compression leggings, sports bras, tanks, shorts, compression tees, and graphic tees, this collection is equally good for wear in the gym as it is in the bar watching your favorite teams.
The UA World collection will be available for purchase on UA.com and at select retail locations on August 1.
