The U of Maryland and UA renew their partnership for ten years! This renewal makes Under Armour once again the official supplier and outfitter for the university’s varsity athletic programs. It seems only right since the brand is based in Baltimore. Footwear, apparel, equipment, uniforms, etc. will all come from UA. The university will also become a larger part of the UA family by becoming part of the brand’s marketing, social media, and other events. Matt Mirchin, the executive vice president of UA’s marketing said,
The University of Maryland is an integral part of Under Armour’s history, culture and identity…We look forward to continuing this remarkable partnership over the next decade and beyond, outfitting the Terrapin student-athletes and fans in the most innovative performance gear in the market.
The University of Maryland is just one of UA’s sponsored NCAA athletic programs; others include the University of Notre Dame, Naval Academy Athletic Association, Auburn University, Texas Tech University, and the University of South Carolina.
