A Triple Black adidas Yeezy 500 is Dropping in July

In the event that you miss out on the adidas Yeezy 500 ‘Super Moon Yellow’, you’ll soon have a shot at another Yeezy 500 colorway.

A few days ago, WearTesters reported the restock of the ‘Super Moon Yellow’, the initial release colorway.

Now, the adidas Yeezy 500 ‘Utility Black’ is set to drop on July 7 for $200. It will be available exclusively on adidas.com, Yeezy Supply, and select adidas retailers on release day. It appears that this colorway will also not come in the bundle like previous releases.

Like the other colorways of the Yeezy 500, this iteration continues the monochromatic trend and comes predominantly in one color: black. Although this build has the tooling of the KB8 III, this shoe was not meant for performance and as such, it’s generally advised to stay away from the courts (unless you’re Nick Young or trying to flex your rotation).

What do you think of the adidas Yeezy 500 in triple black? Will you cop a pair or does the ‘Super Moon Yellow’ have your attention? Drop your thoughts in the comment section below.

  1. I love how mid-90’s these look(my favorite era), I hate how the FYW-profile got even narrower on new releases, making them impossible to fit my feet these days.

    1. I think that’s the aesthetic they were going for. Honestly, I think that adidas is going to keep reusing their 90s/early-00s releases and just slap on some refinements here and there.
