The Nike Kyrie Flytrap 2 Made its Debut Overseas

Kyrie Irving and Nike Basketball continue delivering budget friendly basketball shoes with the upcoming Nike Kyrie Flytrap 2.

Making its debut overseas, the Nike Kyrie Flytrap 2 shares some similarities with the original.

The materials look to be similar, if not identical, to the original Flytrap. The elastic band is used once again while traction looks to be an upgrade.

The midsole looks to be the same, but we’re currently unsure if Zoom Air is present. It looks as if the words “Zoom” are on the outrigger area, but it’s hard to tell so we cannot confirm this.

Per our source, @jcarlojocson, the shoe is the same price as the first model in the Philippines. This does not guarantee the shoe will release in the U.S. at the same price point as the original model ($80), but it’s a good indicator that they’ll still be reasonably priced.

Enjoy the first look at the Nike Kyrie Flytrap and share your thoughts with us below in the comment section. Will they feature Zoom Air? Do you find them to be more aesthetically appealing than the original? Sound off below and let us know.

  1. The kyrie flytrap 2 definitely reminds me of the early nike kobe line – especially the heel counter section . Looks great aesthetically compared to the flytrap 1.

  2. Missing my Kobe 6 that I beat to death, I will cop this if the review says it feels like the Kobe 6 even a bit. Textile works fine on my Zoom Live 2 so I won’t mind that same material. I believe that is Zoom like the oval forefoot ball Zoom on the Kobe 6. Phylon heel would be Ok but the Kobe 6’s heel Zoom was heavenly on every landing.
