The Nike Kobe 4 Protro ‘Carpe Diem’ Rumored to Release in June

Another popular OG colorway of the Nike Kobe 4 will release in Protro form sooner than you think.

Arguably one of the most popular colorways of the Nike Kobe 4 is set to make a return in Protro form.

Sporting a black synthetic leather toe, first generation Flywire and an embroidered ankle collar, the Kobe 4 ‘Carpe Diem’ looks just as good as they ever have. Especially with an outsole that has yet to yellow over time.

While the look of the Kobe 4 Protro is nearly identical to the original, tech specs are not the same, unfortunately. But they’re not far off, as they feature heel Zoom Air and a soft Phylon midsole. Missing is the forefoot Lunar Foam, however.

For those that continue to inquire, the Kobe 4 Protro will not feature full-length Zoom Air. That was a typo included within the shoe’s original press release. The Protro was never intended to feature full-length cushion and none of the upcoming releases will offer it.

According to Foot Locker’s release calendar the Nike Kobe 4 Protro ‘Carpe Diem’ is scheduled to release on June 1 for $175. We’ll be sure to update you if that date changes.
