The good folks over at Shiekh Shoes were kind enough to ask WearTesters to cover an event that took place at their Bayfair Mall location in San Leandro. LianeV and Shiekh collaborated to bring us the ‘My Noah’ collection and we got to do a little Q&A with LianeV. We discussed the collection and what some of her favorite sneakers are to wear. Jarron: So you’re in the middle of your LianeV Experience tour that goes as far as Chicago. Tell us what it’s like to promote your brand across the country?
LianeV: It’s a dream come true and I’m so excited to be here, I get to meet everybody and take pictures. It’s just a great experience to tour and share this experience with everybody.
Jarron: Tell us what your inspiration behind “My Noah” was and how you became involved with Shiekh.
LianeV: Well I have a puppy named Noah, you should totally interview him afterwards. But Shiekh Shoes reached out to me and wanted to do a collaboration and I thought it would be a great opportunity to incorporate something that is special to me – which is my puppy Noah – so we created an acronym which stands for New Opportunity And Hope. We just wanted to do something inspirational, fresh, and a lot of my supporters are young so I just wanted to do something fun.
Jarron: That sounds great and we all know that t-shirts are the perfect walking billboard for people’s beliefs and interests, so tell us what exactly New Opportunity and Hope means to you.
LianeV: To me, I wanted to create, I want to inspire the millions of followers that have supported me during this journey of mine and create opportunities for people to say “I can be just like her, I can create something to inspire people”, and most importantly I wanted to create hope.
Jarron: That’s great, I have always felt that the people who have a mass following owe it to the fans to inspire the people.
LianeV: Exactly, the reason why I’m here is because of you guys, the supporters, and I just want to give back and show my appreciation to everyone who supports me and helped make this happen.
Jarron: Your partner Shiekh sells a lot of sneakers. If you follow LianeV on her social media profiles, you might notice that her shoe game is not too shabby. Why don’t you tell us what some of your favorite kicks are to rock around and what your favorite Jordan is.
LianeV: Well, I love the ’Oreo’ Jordan’s, I wear those a lot, but I wear whatever is comfortable. I love Timbs and Chucks, and while I don’t have too many Jordan’s, I love wearing them because I just love to be comfortable.
Jarron: Well those O.V.O. Drake Jordan’s that are releasing soon are black and gold, or white and gold, which would go perfect with the “My Noah” collection.
LianeV: Oh my gosh, I’m going to have to get those.
Jarron: Are there any plans to have your own footwear line with “My Noah” and Shiekh?
LianeV: My very own footwear line, I think I would. Doing another collaboration with Shiekh where we can create sneakers would be a great opportunity. But for the future, I do have an idea that I have wanted to do for a long time, an online dog boutique that sells leashes, collars, shirts, toys, and snacks.
Jarron: So along with that, what is in the future of “My Noah” and LianeV?
LianeV: The future is one day at a time, I have no idea what’s next, the sky is the limit and I just hope to keep inspiring everybody for a lot of good things to look forward to.
Jarron: You live in Los Angeles and at WearTesters we love basketball, so we have to know, Lakers or Clippers?
LianeV: I would have to go…Lakers.
Jarron: That’s what I like to hear; I’m a Laker fan myself. Also, I’m a huge sneaker head and I also have a confession to make, this is my first interview ever.
LianeV: No it isn’t.
Jarron: I promise you it is and I like to keep little mementos to remember moments in my life, so would you mind signing this new pair of Russell Westbrook 0’s for me?
LianeV: Absolutely it would be my pleasure, and you did an amazing job for your first time, you killed it.
