The Jordan Black Cat Gets the Space Jam Treatment

More colorways of the Jordan Black Cat are slowly emerging.

Jordan Black Cat Performance Review

While the Air Jordan Black Cat was a flop in the US, it looks as though there was some sort of demand for the shoe overseas.

A Space Jam edition has just landed at Japan retailers, and it gives us a good look as to what a classic ‘Playoff’ colorway would look like, and I must admit, I like them. While the forefoot needed some cushion, the shoe itself wasn’t bad. It was nice to see something translated directly from sketch to sneaker as it made me really appreciate the development and design process a lot more than I already had.

Not only is there a Space Jam colorway, but a Black/White-Teal pair has also released at Gallery 2 in Japan.

There is no word if we’ll ever see another Jordan Black Cat released here in the US, but it looks like overseas retailers have been getting new colorways in since the initial Black/Red launch.

Would you like to see these colorways, and maybe some others, release Stateside or are you not missing anything if these new colors never make its way over to US retailers?

  1. How could it be considered a flop when only Nike sold it? Stores in the DMV area didn’t have them. No other major sites carried them (please correct me if wrong), but the reviews were very nice.
