The adidas D Rose 1.5 Retro is Available Now

The adidas D Rose 1.5 Retro has made its way Stateside and is available now.

Fans of Derrick Rose and the early Rose signature sneakers will be happy to know that the retro of the adiZero Rose 1.5 has made its way over to US retailers.

It’s a bit of a surprise to see the retro make its way to retail here in the States as Rose’s popularity in China surpasses his US popularity but with his career in a bit of a resurgence, this might be the best time for adidas to capitalize on that. The shoe is nearly identical to the original including its $110 price point; first Generation PureMotion, EVE midsole, TPU SprintFrame and SprintSkin build are all intact as if it’s 2011 all over again.

If you were interested in grabbing a pair of the adidas D Rose 1.5 Retro then you can find them available at

  1. I always wondered why Adidas went away from PureMotion. Even after all these years, every time I think about that it’s like 5 angry face emojis mixed with 3 teary face emojis for me. The pain is still so real!

At least they finally brought them back. They played really fast, and it felt like there was minimal cushioning, so court feel was amazing… but when I jumped, it was like there were springs under my feet. The 1.5’s and the Supernatural Creator’s were my most beloved hoop shoes during the PureMotion era.

  2. This was when Adidas had a ridiculous amount of sizing issues. I would say go down a 1/2 or even a full size. Probably 1/2 size to be safe.

  3. Interesting that it states “The adidas D Rose Retro 1.5 brings you an updated version of the shoe…” Wonder what is changed? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

  4. I love 5-pod PureMotion, but I need it to be available consistently, because switching back and forth, just hurts my feet, this retro makes me angry(minimalist-footwear shouldn’t be treated as a gadget).

  5. Already have them ordered. $93.50 with taxes and shipping makes me a happy camper. I can’t wait to get these in and hit the court.

  6. Caught the Take20 too. Convenient timing for this drop.

Would’ve wanted to expedite shipping, but that would defeat the purpose of making this a deal, especially if we got a minor downgrade in cushion. Tbh I don’t think AdiPrene is a step up anywhere, though.

  7. adidas, c’mon: lets have puremotion with boost or bounce. They aaalllmmoooost overlapped, but then u stopped making puremotion. The only bad thing was the cushioning. Get on that, and you’d have a banger. And dont use that soft ass transluscent youve been using on some stuff, lets have it last longer than a week, yeah?

  8. I have the 2.5 back days.. Size 12 they were a bit narrow and long. I suggest down half suze. 11.5 would be perfect.. They do have almost same design and support on the 1.5
